Glad it worked out:) now grow those out into monsters:headbang2

On a final throw of the dice, the large dollar has been in a holding net for two days, George has ignored this net and has been keeping to the other side of the tank. I let it out and it floated to the bottom:( George then thought a fun game would be to pick it up by the tail and throw it around the tank a few times:irked:
Normally I would never allow this sort of suffering to continue but this fish will not die, as previous illnesses have proven so It gone into the tank of marbles to see if it will recover, if it does I'll need a new home for it.

I went for the normal bag it and add new tank water approach, hopefully it will pull through, the odds are low but I've seen this fish come back from far worse. Mr I've finally got my tank the way I want it is loving it:irked:

Melafix would be great to speed up the recovery :)

And please post some pictures of the new tank (maybe in its dedicated thread). :)

ok, i really have no knowledge about these fish but a guy i know wants to sell his 2 GG. They are about 40-45cm and fat as f*ck. Any market for those? What would be a good price? I dont know how many species there are but these 2 are dark, blue-ish.

Will do when I get some more rocks and work on the aquascape, the most important problem at hand is it's being used as an emergency hospital tank for a fish I have no where really to keep it if it recovers. :nilly::nilly:

At 45cm your looking a very low cost due to the fact that the market to house them is extremely small, to a collector with the room to house them and a lack of availability at the time, I'd still be surprised if they went for 50euro each. There is a guy over here who's got 2 dyed ones up at £1200 for the pair, needless to say there are still for sale since October

To save you the trouble, these will be commons or redtails, every time I think an exodon has turned up I'm wrong, I'm sure I've posted this in this thread before but it is over 100 pages long:

Osphronemus goramy, common giant
http://www.aquahobby.com/gallery/e_Osphronemus_goramy.php
Osphronemus laticlavius, red tail giant gourami
http://animal-world.com/encyclo/fresh/anabantoids/GiantRedTailGourami.php
Osphronemus exodon, elephant ear
Check back a page or two and there will be a photo of mine or to see one with full teeth development:
http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1529166&postcount=6
Osphronemus septemfasciatus, almost 0 info
The picture right at the bottom is what's believed to be a septem:
