i want to see some full tank shots with this beast and his new tank mates. my friend has one and petsmart told him he would be fine in his 55 and now he knows the truth about them but he is only like 4-5" and he has had him for about a year.

how big do these guys get?

anywhere from 1 metre upwards (depending on species) and there are very few private aquariums with the space they need as they are a nervous schooling fish that come from huge fast running rivers,maybe you could upgrade to a 2000 gallon+ aquarium ? but at least your heart is in the right place with the rescue and he should be ok in there for a while

No, just different species. Meknog catfish is Pangasianodon gigas and ID shark is Pangasius hypophthalmus or sutchi and paroon shark is sanitwongsei.

Beautiful save and fish. I personally keep 3 of these together as they like to school and i notice they are not as skitish as my friends that is kept alone and tends to rush all over the tank on w/c. Very active and wounderful fish they are.
