GIANT NORTHERN PIKE!

The original two fish are definitely Northern Pike. However, I don't think that the two pictures are actually related. I believe I saw the guy holding the Northern listed as the Wisconsin(?) state record pike. I'll almost guarantee that the fish hitting the other pike was never landed or even hooked. Awsome picture though!

thats what i was thinking, it didn't look like it bit the smaller northern high enough up to get hooked. i can't imagine what it would have been like to be reeling in that little one and all of the sudden a monster like that comes up and nails it.
 
Guy holding the pike was not from WI, but somewhere outside the US...cant remember where though. Someone on MFK knows...this pic has been posted numerous times! Still love seeing it though!

Yeah, you're right... I just did some surfing around. I wasn't aware that European Pike were that big.
