giant otter catches arapaima

i wonder what would happen if it was amazon dolphin vs aripaima? dolphins are larger and probabaly smarter than otters so i think it would have a very good chance to have aripaima sushi!
(poor aripaima, but that's nature) and an otter would easily hunt a small bull shark but i am quite sure that an adult bull shark would easily eat an otter, they would look, and probabaly taste like seals.

Do you not think the otter would have the upper hand in the murky water and all the submerged debris to go in between as well as the shallows?

Those dolphin have small mouth's don't they?I don't think they would waste energy going after a fish of such size.

I am going to guess the otter did not catch the arapaima for a few reasons:
The fish has fins and the otter feet, the water in which that size fish would be found would not allow footing for the otter and the arapaima would have a considerable advantage.
The otter lacks claws like a big cat to grip and hold making it near impossible for it to latch onto the arapaima long enough to deliver a death bite to the spine.
There is very little possibility of an otter that size dragging a fish of that weight out of the river (where they normally feed I believe).
Otters are wary and shy. In the picture there is a boat in the background so I am guessing he is snacking on a fisherman's catch and is a tame otter. Or at least one that has lost its fear of humans.

Just my 2c.

otters are vicious bro, theyre mustelids

I don't care what u guys say but that otter is freakin sick and he just mopped on those animals without breaking a sweat come on an alligator freakin gangster not even crocodile hunter hahahah

bull sharks like shallow water and the shark can breath underwater, the otter can't all it would take is a quick bite from below (like they attack seals) and there would be all kinds of dead otter.
