Giant Snakehead Questions

Thanks. I didn't want to have them in the smaller tank any longer than necessary, so they went in the bigger tank immediately, filled fresh water from the tap. There is a filter but I had some issues with water leaking because of the filter, I need to fix that, so it's not running at the moment. I think I should be able to make it work properly tonight. So far I've bought 2 batches of feeder fish, the first one was really bad, massive amounts of them died before I could even feed them. Now I'm using a little pond outside that belongs to restaurant down my appartment as feeder fish pond, but still quite a few die every day. I do feed them, so I'm not sure why so many die. Maybe next time I leave the bag in which they come in the water for a while, to acclimate them. I don't enjoy having to get out all those dead feeder fish every single day too much.

they wont like going back to other food when they have been on feeder fish, you cant try starving them, but they might be hooked on fish :P

Haha.. Yea, I may have turned them into fish feens already. My buddy wants to cut up the worms and feed, or if necessary, force feed them to the feeder fish and then put them in the tank, but that kind of disgusts me. The boys haven’t been eating well since I’ve got them, only the little one with the attitude keeps amazing me with his attitude and appetite. Yesterday I found him crawling around on the floor again, threw him back in the tank and he is still fine. I’m starting to think that they really hate the water from the tap here. However, they seem to become feistier by the day, though. I don’t really have other options than using water straight from the tap and immediately put them in there. Should I test it and treat it with something?
I have another problem on my hands, my tank has two glass plates on top that are for support, they help keeping the tank together, back and front plate. I’m not sure how they are called (cross brace maybe?) or how to describe them properly so I hope you guys understand what I’m talking about. These two plates are glued to the tank, but they both are loose one side and now the long glass plate appears to have expanded under the pressure of the water. I pumped about 25% of the water out and now there seems to be less pressure and the glass is more or less in its regular place again. Can I just glue them back again? If so, how should I do that? It would be very convenient if my boys can stay in the tank while I fix it.

RELESE THEM! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING! they are illegal in over 30 countries because they kill every other fish in the ecosystem! and then move through streams to get to the next pond/lake and kill everything in that

Did you add in any anti-chlorine? if you use direct tap water ..... im speechless...

dont keep any fish before you have done enough research...

Nope, I've had all kinds of fish before in Europe, never had issues with the tap water. Why is there so much chlorine in the tap water here, to fill up the swimming pools? Some people here drink the tap water, right? I was going to the pet store today anyway, I'll ask for it.
