Thanks a lot would never have thought such a huge fish off a pier/bridge .

I see nothing wrong at all with eating what you catch.
Though I am from NY I am not into PC bull lol.
The individual angler doesnt make an impact on fish numbers the ships with huge troll nets from Asia ,Latin America ,Russia and the huge numbers of ships coming in and out of S.Florida harbor with "slight" fuel leaks while Miamis politicians look away is the problem.

i am from nyc too. i do follow catch and release, size regulations, and all that stuff but the big boats do pose the greatest threats. sport fisherman also have an impact from what i have read. we are destroying our oceans by overfishing and pollution but that doesnt mean we cant catch or eat anything. also these large boats have less restrictions. for example, in new york we can keep fluke at 20 inches( a size almost unheard of) while the commercial boats can keep them at 14 inches. they fish out more and quicker so it sucks for us little guys. all politics... its the downfall of the country. japan i think does the most damage to the oceans with whaling, dolphin killing, mass fishing with no restrictions at all.
the bridge i caught the fish on is small and you would never guess but i have caught some 100+ pound tarpon and sharks in there. tons of snook. this was the first one i ever took home and only because it died. i just chill with a 14 inch mullet on my line and wait for the noise. thats when the fun begins. sometimes i wait till 4 or 5 am. makes a relaxed and fun night with friends.

I am the sameway I keep fish every now and then depending on what it is, if I caught in season/limit and all that good stuff. I guess I could have worded it better than I fish for fun, I didnt mean for it come off that way. I fish for the same reasons you and many others prob. do. Anyways sorry I came off offensive. I understand you were replying to both quotes it just seemed like you thought I made both of them to me. As for fish and game... down here they do a pretty awesome job (in my experience) at catching/checking people. They respond quickly and keep in contact to make sure they got the right person/car/boat etc. and they take care of the issue/s. Suprisingly fish and game here do a pretty good job! If you are ever in FL I know some good spots also for salt and fresh.

these pics are from southbeach in miami. i know it is far from orlando but i can always make a stop over on the way down. i have friends in orlando as well. if you are in southbeach or south miami it would be easier. you and your boyfriend both look like you know your stuff pretty well. i love florida fishing and i want to go to key west where the fishing is amazing for sharks, grouper, and snapper. maybe we can do a mfk fishing day or something.

Yah the key's are supposed to be a nice place to fish and scuba dive =] so you have friends here or you live here? I go to Maimi once a year usually at the beg. of summer. I'll be going down this weekend with the bf and some friends. I think we will be in north Miami but I dont remeber where exactly.

wont be in florida for a few months. i will definetly let you know when i am. key west all the way!
