well actualy i have moved them quite of weeks back but did not have time to upload the pix. Was meaning to take more pix and video but my bro was away so i was moving da fish with my father only.

nothing to difficult just a fishing net lined with mosquito net. Lots of trashing and bashing initially but in the end paimas were moved one by one to RTC land. I was a bit nervous that ham-sized RTCs would eat sausage sized paimas but all is well.

the notable development was dissappearance of Oscars after i moved paimas to RTC land. I am fairly sure that one of the RTCs ate the poor guy but what i suspect is that paimas might have ganged up on the poor O once they aclimatized to their surrounding - then RTC ate the beat up guy (but that is just speculation).

In general the paimas are much calmer now and not skittish no more BUT tonight when i went for an after dark feeding session i turned on the light ... and man they become torpedos darting everywhere i thought they were going to bail out. Once i switched off the light all was well.

Anyway. they are eating as normal from day one. now they eat chopped up fish with RTCs (occasional shrimp treats). They feed very fast so no trouble competing for food (except marble pim is quite fast as well when it comes to prawns).

For reference their previous home was 8'x3' footprint so paimas where close to 3' already when i was moving them (quite a far cry from the puny babies i got them as ... check out the older threads for comparison)

Now they are in 3x2m footprint home so plenty for space for couple of years to come then pond. This time round heater all around (my father conceded the point after the loss of previous batch).

sorry no side shots (super algae overun glass panels and lots of reflection in any case).

i am very pleased with the coloration of these beasties - helps to add color to the RTC land

quick update on other aros:

hmmmmm contemplating moving jar as well. so can decommision the 7' tank which he occupies solo. hmmm may move black aro with the red dragon (+motoro) to decommision 6' tank. X-back is developing really well in size and color. red is slow developer but getting there. BB is growing real slow so quite boring. HBRTG was super growth and color and body form is quite nice as well. green guy grew back his tail and anal fin only to have it shredded by red aro (contemplating to feed the wuss to RTCs ... jk)

It looks like the RTC is sizing up the O in that last pic. I guess foreshadowing perhaps...

Looking good though. :)

I guess old O had it coming even though couple of years back he was snapping at young cats ... oh well
