Give my Silver Arowana away for a Jardini?

Hello everyone,

I have been thinking about this lately, because I only have a 150 gallon tank. This is the biggest tank I have room for in my house and I realize that the silver aro needs something upwards of 180 gal. He's only about six inches right now but I rather not grow attached to it if I have to eventually give him away...

What do you guys think? Give away my silver and purchase a Jardini before I get even more attached to it?

alot depends on the dim of the 150gal, but the silver wont last in it so get rid of it...as for the jar it will get like 2' or so...it to will need a larger tank...

Its 6' x 1.5' x 2', i figure this would be enough for a Jardini. No?

i agree the width is what kills your dreams...you need it at least 2' but 3' is better for smaller aros

How long do you think I can house him at 6" currently? Better yet, at what size do I need to get him a bigger tank and how long will it take him to get to that size?

Need to start budgeting now....

till it is like 14" then i would get a bigger tank/ all ready have it set up...

the tank must be at least three times its length. as always bare minimum for aro's is 180G.
