Thanks guys! Sounds good. I'm going to keep an eye on a 180 - 240 Gal right now. Another interesting question I just thought of.... how am I going to make the transition if I only have one spot to put the tank....? LOL gosh this is going to take massive coordination...

my bad;)... i got confused there was some back and forth....
 
that tank is NOT big enough because the fish will hardly be able to turn around after 6 months, itll be fine for 6 months but then you will need a bigger one.

its the 1.5' that kills you-thats only 18" for the fish to turn around in so once he tops 1 foot hes going to start needing more space on that dimension. otherwise a 150 would be fine for quite a while, but that 1.5' is a big limiting factor.
