I would give to the NRA.... that way a can own a gun to protect me from pit bulls..... I should say it's to protect me from pit bulls that stupid owners have taken and turned into a dangerous animal..... they are the only animal I've had to shoot to protect a human life.
i would most definitely give to the nature conservacy, with the stipulation of earmarking the contribution solely for rainforest preservation..... the rainforests are going to disappear long before any of the idiotic governments in the countries where they are located pull their heads outta their rears and do anything of real value in preserving them

Concider the fact that they don't want any loging, ok I'll admit that loging hasn't always been done the right way but they are getting better, why not work together to find a way that we get the lumber we need and help the forest at the same time?
Did you know that the forest fires we are having are worse because we haven't allowed the forest to be thined out? So we either harvest some lumber and prevent the huge forest fires or let nature handle things and let her thin out the forest..... harder for bambi to run from fire than a logger.
All that being said I 100% support saving the rain forest.... some of the nature conservacy groups have been showing the farmers that if they leave the trees on wide strips of land they can harvest lizards for food and profit and this is stoping some of the cut and burn it all aditudes but we need to do more. See this is the common sence solutions I was talking about....... I know that we will still need a large sactuary but it is a start and we have to remember that if we can show them how doing the right things can keep them from being hungry we all win....... hungry people don't listen well.
