Glassbanger for a 125?

Okay ~ be kind as I am new AND blonde.:D

There have been a few times I was at our lfs and some folks were bringing in HUGE fish to donate for credit. They said that it kept banging his head against the top of the tank and cracking it!

So it had to go ~

And you WANT a head banger? You want it to be aggressive?

Enlighten me? Please?

People enjoy head bangers because they will follow your finger, attack you when you get near or in the tank and are generally aggressive feeders. They will literally bang the glass to "show who's boss"

Glass bangers include:
Black piranha (rhombeus)
More aggressive oscars
Red devils
Green terrors
Texas cichlids
Flowerhorns
Midas cichlid

Of course there are some various species of each fish that are big sissies and wouldn't attack a guppy, but others are like this:

Oh. Okay! Ya know, now that you mention it I am going to take some pictures of a possible glass banger at our lfs. His name is Sherbert and he has been in this tank for over 30 years.

He follows us to the other end like he would eat us if he could! He is huge.

Some people keep them with tiger barbs or giant danios and possibly a pleco or heavily armored catfish (ripsaw catfish, plecos etc) and hardy smaller cichlids like convicts. But the majority of the time the fish will get bullied if the tank is not large enough. The sherbert fish sounds like a Midas/Red devil, please get pictures!!
