I thought Glasscages had great customer service, they helped me through a lot of the process of dealing with shady shipping companies. They knew me by name and recognized me by voice by the end of the ordeal and vice versa.

Tank (500g's) was packaged extremely well and they refused to ship it for about a month because they wanted it to cure at their facility before even lifting it.

I personally did the stand with massive overbuilding done to support the 1200 pounds of glass above it.

I was impressed by Glasscages over all, and ignored a lot of reviews because people are dumb when it comes to supporting 1,000's of pounds of water correctly and it's often their own fault.

Only been a few months though, so I will let you guys know next year if my basement has been turned into a swimming pool. :)

I'm glad you have had luck with your tank. It seems like with glasscages you either end up fine or you end up with a cracked tank. I agree that all companies will get a bad review every once in a while but glasscages has tons of people that gave them bad reviews. Like I said, I live close to them and none of the hobbiest around here use them. The ones that have all have plenty of bad things to say. Plus there prices are not really cheap. I will not trust any of my fish in one of there tanks. I can get as good of a deal at most pet stores anyway and not have to worry about a 90 day seam only warrently. I have had one allglass tank crack and I had zero issues getting it replaced for free. Try that with glass cages and see what you get. They will tell you, sorry, it's all your fault if the glass broke. Most of the larger perfecto or allglass tanks have a 25 year warrenty that includes glass and seams.

Allow me to pose this question. Who builds good glass aquariums then. In the future I plan to get a 500-1000 gallon aquarium to expand my hobby(soon as I get a house) I would build it my self but I really don't have the time. I don't want acrylic because it does scratch easily and isn't cheap.

I would imagine that you will either end up fine or with a cracked tank no matter what when you are dealing with an aquarium.

I now have a 750g Tenecor and i love it but id rather have glass
because the acrylic tanks scratch just by looking at them. The outside is easy to buff out but once the inside is scratched it turns into a big ordeal

Not really, most tanks have seem leaks instead of glass breakage. I've owned probably 40 tanks in my life and only had one crack. I've had several develope seem leaks.

Buy from whoever you feel comfortable with. I'm sure glasscages has plenty of very happy customers. They have far to many unhappy ones for me to spend my money with them though. I've heard from to many locals that came home to flooded houses and dead fish for me to risk it.

I agree with you. I believe some people dont use common sense when it comes to supporting thousands of pounds of glass and water. I bought two 70 gallon tanks from them; very heavily built. I had a good experience with them and I recommend them. Ive had the tanks for 3 years now and I havent had a single problem. They recommended not using them for two weeks to let the silcone cure. I waited a full month just to be shure.
