Sounds like someone doesn't know the difference between "climate" and "weather."

That's the point. You wouldn't have noticed that average global temperatures have increased by 1.2 to 1.4 degrees Fairenheit since 1900, but most of that increase has occurred since 1990. The EPA's website on "climate change" does, however, note that some of the warmest years in recorded history have occurred over the past 15 years:

http://www.epa.gov/climatechange/basicinfo.html

The EPA uses the term "climate change" as being a more accurate description of the phenomenon caused by increased greenhouse gas emissions than "global warming."

some people don't know the difference between climate and weather........

and some people don't know the difference between climate and politics.

Same thing up here.......only colder.

The measured increase in average surface temperature over the past century is an empirical fact regardless of political affiliation. I can't tell the difference between 80 degrees and 81.4 degrees, but it's measurable nonetheless by Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, socialists, anarchists, and communists. Regardless of whether you believe the doomsday portrayals of ardent environmentalists, the phenomenon exists, just to a lesser degree than you would think given the media hype.
