dude, why would u want peta to stand a chance? Peta should be classified as a terrorist organization, seeing how they are one. They just put on a good show

Ok, they are extremist that have to resort to extreme actions, But terrorists? come on. Do you understand what terrorism is? Thats very disrespectful to all the families suffering from terrorist actions. Throwing fake blood and meat on people is much less radical than killing thousands of innocent people.

less radical than killing thousands of people yes, but PETA kills thousands of animals. how are they NOT terrorists? do you have to kill only people to meet the definition of a terrorist?

I was unaware of this. Then again, I dont follow Peta. I have no reason to defend them, But I wouldnt call them terrorists, Just extreme activists. But they deliberatly harm animals to get their point across to others? Is that the case? I guess in some way that falls into terrorism, scareing others, but that holds true to all protestors. I mean, Ive heard of them throwing fake blood on old ladies, and freeing lab animals and other crazy feats and genious marketing strategies. Im having trouble connecting Al Qauda's actions to Peta. I'd love to be filled in.

Actually animal activists have sent out death threats, stolen family dogs and have even firebombed houses and cars.

I don't like the glowing fish. It's creepy, and uneccessary. IMO, there are too many beautiful fish out there to keep. People don't need to jack around with what would otherwise be healthy, gorgeous, amazingly natural creatures. I think its selfish.

I have worked with people who support PETA. Too many of them are liars and scary people. They manipulate the truth to even completely make up situations. PETA puts down tons of animals a year because they just can't seem to find anyone they deem fit to care for them. They turn down thousands of potential families for some insane claims. To them, its better that the dog be put to sleep than not have access to the backyard and house 100% of the time. If you said you'd lock your wet dog in the backyard while he dries... bam. No dog for you. They are notoriously violent as well. And yes. I would classify some of what they do as terrorism. They are an organized group who too often attempts to evoke fear of bodily harm in people to make them do what they want. I can't stand PETA. They give animal activists a bad name.

yes in all honosty they are terrorists. they fund organizations that fire bomb houses, buildings and such. they kill almost 100% of animals they "rescue". They are extremist to the max, and are terrorists.

Hi guys,
Wow just got back from fishing the night tide and i seem to have caused a storm in a tea cup. Thank you so much for the info on the current "glowfish" progress. I am pretty sure they are a genetically modifyed fish. I will keep on the case and see what else i can find. I will post for those who are interested. I have to say your opinions are so wonderfully varied and interesting. Just why i love this forum. You are all entitled to those opinions as I am to mine. I am certain these fish can be imported to the european market, as we all ready have all manner or alt fish species available here currently. One thing to think about guys. We all love fish, i literally eat sleep and breathe fish. I have worked with them, kept them, bred them and pursued them all over the world. BUT.....they are fish not people (i personally think peta are a very scary and dangerous element in our society, but i would never sacrifice freedom of speech for security, so they have to stay). Finally, whether we like to think about it or not, the whole aquarium industry has grown up around the exploitation of these beautiful, wonderful creatures. Oh and please let us not decieve ourselves it is exploitation. As i said i am not being mean to anyone personally, or saying anyone is wrong or right, just my views, and i love the fact we can all share them here. Nightie night. Thanks again for everyones input.

Far as I know "Glofish" atm are the only genetically modified species available in the trade. The other species you see are hybrids. Seems Angels and Convicts will both be soon as well. imo it's sad people spend tons of money on developing these species when so many "natural" fish are on the verge of extinction. For that reason alone I am personally against such "fancies" and the only people I sell "glo-fish" to at work are complete novices in the hobby who want something "pretty" The Hobby itself is on the verge of collapse if we support such "entreprenurial endevors" I'de never begrudge a breeder money for their efforts, but as JC stated very clearly I think.. their has to a line of morality. I'll inbred my stock before I'll hybridize it or replace it with florescent mutants. Just as I'll never own a "labordoodle" or one of the many Fancy named Mutts people are pushing as "designer breeds".. Just to make money offa poorly bred stock That doesn't meet it's own breed standards. BTW.. I don't wanna glow in the dark cat either.. And you bet it would be all over the news if they where trying to push such animals on the market.
