Clown Gobies didn't make it...need to realize the importance of a quarantine tank. I will be trying again though; the problem seemed to be an un-healthy Clown fish that was added to the tank. Risky hobby.
Anyway, I did manage to find an Amblyeleotris guttata, 2nd on the list for Gobies, and of course, Stonogobiops nematodes, first on the list. I will see how it goes, they will not arrive in the area for another two weeks, so until then I will be continuing my search, just in-case a better option shows itself. I'm also looking at Amblygobius decussatus. Too many choice, lol. Better news hopefully soon.
Nothing new just yet as far as Gobies go, but I did manage to pick-up an Arrow Crab for one of my new 10-Gallon setups. Just wanted to post a shot; very cool critter. Thinking about doing an invert tank with a small Shrimp Goby of some sort. (Hi-fin Banded ?)
I've been a little behind on updates, but then again, my main order hasn't shown-up yet. However, I did manage to pickup that Hifin Banded (Stonogobiops nematodes) that I've been looking for! Very cool little goby, currently in a 10-Gallon tank with a small Clownfish. I also added two Bar 'Gobies' to the main 55-Gallon tank, being Dartfish and not true Gobies, but they liven the tank up a bit. I also picked-up a smaller Yellow Watchman, as the larger one took over the tank, and has been moved out. The Pink Spotted was moved as well, after a Firefish went missing...so much for a community fish. Otherwise, the Metallic is still in the 55-Gallon with the Diamond Sleeper goby, both great fish.
Will be picking up an Orange Spotted on Tuesday. (Amblyeleotris guttata)
Here is the Stonogobiops nematodes (Not the best shots)
Hopefully once the main order shows up, it will be a much more interesting update as well! lol
Right now I'm looking at Amblyeleotris randalli being the next Goby after the Orange Spotted. Just setup a 20-Gallon tank last night with multiple 'caves' for hiding; the original plan being for a Tiger Jawfish, which is still a possibilty. If not, I can always try on some different Gobies Pics of the setup hopefully later tonight.
No problem!
Picked-up a Green Clown Goby from work today, which is both healthy looking and eating! Also grabbed an Allen's Damsel as well, both in the 10-Gallon with the Clown and Shrimp Goby. I'll hopefully get shots of that soon. Thought I'd post some shots of the new 20-Gallon saltwater tank; hoping to add a Tiger Jawfish to this one, and maybe a new Goby here and there. There are four main caves to hide in, and I will be spiffing-up the tank as time goes on.
It's a work in progress yet. I will also have new shots of the Orange Spotted Goby tomorrow.
We were supposed to get them in at work, but it wasn't the same species unfortunately; very cool looking Goby, even with its small size. I think I'll just stick with Saltwater for now anyway, lol.
