DONT give in to feeding live fish. Gobies are pigs and he wont hold out on feeding for very long. Eventually he wont resist the earthworms. he looks to be healthy and I wouldnt worry about him even if he doesnt feed for a few weeks

Try feeding the jade live fish. Like goldfish or something. I know it sounds like a bad idea, but that might be the only way to get it to eat.

If I was going to feed fish it wouldn't be goldfish. Goldfish and minnows are full of fat and have little to no nutrition value. However there is the exception of feeder guppies, which are packed with protein. But I've got a EBJD in my quarantine so that wouldn't really work. Even if I did after I quarantined them for a few weeks and by the time I got them in it could be too late.

I'll pick up some more earthworms and keep trying, I don't like to feed those too often either since they're also full of protein.
What about ghost shrimp? I do have some breeding in my 30 gallon.

I didn't nesasarily mean goldfish or minnows, but I really like gobies, so I searched them up and did lots and lots of research on them, and from my personal experiences, gobies almost always accept live fish. Also, try soaking some chopped up garlic in water, then strain out the garlic chunks after about a day, then soak the gobies food in the garlic water. It works for most species, saltwater or fresh.

I actually tried using garlic extract on carnivore pellets, bloodworms, silversides and krill. Didn't work out so well. I think I'll stop trying for a few days and see if it will eat then. If not I'll try some feeder guppies.

Thanks for the help.

The little guy finally ate. Only 2 sinking carnivore pellets, but it's a start. Still scared of me though, I had to throw the food in from a distance to avoid being seen.

Thanks again.

Welcome. I know what it's like to have to throw food from a distance. My African butterflyfish, the only fish that I can even call a mini monster, hides unless I hold very still when I'm near the tank.

I think it's slowly starting to adjust, after watching my reed fish take food from me it decided to very slowly make its way over. Then my oscar bit me and scared the **** out of it. But making progress, so that's always good.

I'll have to post some pictures once it gets healed up, some colors are starting to come out.
