Going down the poly worm hole…

I love the PBB’s I wish I had a few of those. I see plastic above the tank. Is that for humidity?
The PBB are def some of my favorites as well. They were my #1 until the congicus showed up. Now id like 12 of each 😂.

I put the plastic up when i 1st moved in 15yrs ago now as precaution for a fish room. Im not sure how much it actually curbs any humidity issues or if it was necessary. It seems to be a great vapor barrier tho. Basement is fridgid in the summers and warm in the winters. I do worry if theres anything behind it. Ive peeled parts back to check and it seems dry and good after 15yrs 💀🤞

My fat Sens like to rest on the over flow intakes. Causing the water to rise in the tank. This is my 450 and it has two overflows. Basically 6 sides or edges the Sens can block. Thankfully I only have 3 Sens
I can see you have 1 overflow centered in your tank, 4 sides. Do you have issues with the polys blocking flow?

Yeah I figured. I had to add an exhaust fan to my fish room. You have a great set up!
Thanks! I put a hole in a block wall 15yrs ago in anticipation for an exhaust and never needed it lol… in my case i found not running a dehumidifier was very beneficial. It threw off so much heat running 24/7 it actually made the room more humid. Saved alot on electricity also. Good lids on tanks and sumps help more than anything IME.

Its only been 2 weeks maybe for any polys re entering the 500 and no overflow floaters yet 💀🤞 lol. I drilled it out on all 4 sides. This group just came out of 21” depth to 27” and there still a bit thrown off surfacing. Im sure someone will stick up there eventually 😂.
