Yeah I got one back in 95 for about 70 bux,got him to eat pellets even,but nowadays if you can score one for under one hundred dollars you are getting a good deal.
 
damn some people need to chill i have alot of monsterfish and plan on get a 900 or bigger but damn people know what they have and want and they know what they need to house most of them so with that said stop don't hate because you can't afford the fish or house it be happy for your fellow monsterfishkeepers that is the site we join what so now we should keep guppys as monster come on man relax po po
 
oh jeff lamay most fish take years to grow to monsters thats why alot of them are endanger in the wild and you don't know what someone has planned for there fishes or how fat there pockets are so again don't hate cause you can't have it mind yours

You make the remark and add this picture as though they come into the hobby at that size.The fish in the picture is probably twenty years old.

I am well aware they don't ship 300lb fish across the world in giant 10,000 gallon shipping tanks for $100...

That isn't the point, the point is that it's not an aquarium fish.
