Man get a little 29 GAllon Bio cube. They work really good

not really.. i have a 29 biocube, i bought it before pretty much anything else was on the market as far as all-in-one tanks.. and now i hate it.. the fans are loud, the filter pads are inconvenient, the lights aren't that great, the return pump is crappy.. i would very much so recomend getting a different brand..
28 gallon JBJ NanoCube... http://www.jbjlighting.com/prod_28g_nano.html
34 gallon Red Sea MAX... http://www.marineandreef.com/Red_Se...er_s/150.htm?gclid=CIWcjunygJQCFQyfnAod0mI1WQ
30 gallon Finnex Cube... i can't find a good link but i'll get back to this..

names really aren't THAT important, but they do have some subtle differences..
there figi- a pretty good rock, considered the standard by most.. typical abstract rock shape..
tonga- usually brached like a shoot of bamboo with a golfball in the center (you ever see one of them?) kinda like a chinese finger trap, but a much looser weave
hawaiian- usually more spherical than the rest.. good growth and a good level rock
Florida aquacultered rock- pretty basic concrete rock.. usually doesn't have the BEST growth on it, but will definately do the job

then there's other stuff from other places, again they are only slim differences..

yea i was looking up some live rock while waiting for your reply. i know what they look like. whats your view on mixing the rocks? for the most part ima have fiji though the price i got is pretty decent in my eyes. 2.33 a pound

the only difference would be aesthetics.. i usually mix rocks (mostly cause i dont really care where it comes from) and base rock, the base rock usually has peices that are either very porous or conme in crazy azz shapes, lots of shelves and pockets to put corals in.. and it's lways cheaper, like 2-3 bucks a pound

2.33 a pound for live is pretty good... is that an online offer?
you also have to realize that shipping on that could easily be $50-70...
so 10 pounds turns from $20 to $100

luvs: it wasnt really a site. you might be able to get him to ship to you? you just gotta ask him. i got it from ocean blue. hes one of the vendors here. really great guy. ask for brian. the only catch was that you had to buy a box of 45 pounds. hoped that helped

honestly, everyone says salt water is much harder but imo it really isnt. just have to be more observant and keep a close eye on all the levels.

I think that you would be MUCH happier if you purchased a tank closer to a 55 gallon, there are a lot more fish to choose from with the extra 20 gallons (compaired to the 30). It is your decision though and whatever will fit your budget.
