Going to Tokyo...suggestions??

highley recommended by many (wish I had chance to go!) you have to go the the famous fish mkt! go early & maybe catch a fresh cooked meal with the locals for breakfast. they like grilled fish (some slightly salted) over rice & simple veggies. of course if you're into it, try sushi. tho I found their sushi a bit stronger than U.S. sushi, still good but not for the faint hearted!

japan is a unique experience. hardly anything is written in english. the trains especially.
there is also the famous electronics district, I think shinjuku but you can ask around about this. I went & I was in total awe! but couldn't buy the bigger pricier stuff cuz different standards than U.S.

I really love japan. I want to go but i dont have money. hmm... there r lotsa good food there. try eating em.Fish market seems pretty cool. They get freshfish like everyday, should try out some sashimi. Sunshine city seems interesting . theres shopping in sunshine city. and... on the top floor of sunshine city theres an aquarium. there are some really cute sunfish there that u must see. and, you must go to tokyo tower.well,i think you should meet samurai_h or other japan MFK member. last but not least, meet buncha japanese gals xD have a safe and fun trip

there r tons of other places to go to too, ive been there lik 3 or 4 times already... find their super ice cream shop, they have any flavor u could think of, last time i was there, i tried squid , and chicken wing flavor... make sure to get used to the railroads around there, pretty useful... ginza is a pretty cool place to look into... and ya, theres that electronic street somwhere, i know thatplace name in chinese characters(japanese n chinse shares some characters) but forgot its japanese name xD its " Fall Leave Garden" if i remember correctly... oh, and a lil advice, i would take som vitamin C to boost ur immune system before u get on the plane....everyone tends to get sick when u go from US to anywhere in asia....

don't think that the Japanese don't understand English. so don't talk about them in front of them. This is the mistake most foreigners do

learn a few polite words, such as. thank you, which is, bear with my spelling. lol. ariagato domomas. or just ariagato. conichiwa = hello. HANCHO!!! when you need a cab. Hai, said just like HI, means anything except no.
never tip anyone. its not like the states. they hate it. if you get drunk at a bar, i would not advise chilling with the bums and playing with thier dogs... dont dress like a tourist, and def. dont dress like a japanese. dress casual and dont be the guy weraing sandals. lol.

You've got to go to the wholesale fish market! It's the largest in the world! They auction off all the fish in the VERY early hours of the morning with some whole Tunas going for $40,000 + !!!!! Outsiders are welcome and you can take pics!!
