Gold Wolf Pack

It could cause one to get over zealous... But I hope it doesn't come to that, also how are you so sure they're males?
Yes I thought the same thing, but so far things seem to have become more peaceful than usual. As for how I sex them, they have very distinct physical and behavior differences. For starters the females are much more plup than the males are, but the males have much fuller tail fins and a slightly larger head. There is also two large indents on either side of the anal fins of the males. On top of that the females are much more laid back than the males. This lets them swim around more without being chased of by the dominant male. The less dominant male tends to try and front to the dominate male which usually ends in a quick chase.

Update! As of today all four are still alive and well. The trio of the dominant male two females is always out and about. Very active albeit very shy to movement outside the take. The second male is sited very rarely and always looks a bit more ragged than the others. Still has great appetite and life in him. I redecorated the tank to have a more complex root system on one side of the tank while having the other side more open for some swimming space. I did include a rock cave in the open side to always give the second male a place of cover away from dominant. The fish seem to really enjoy this set up and there haven't been any more fights, just the usual bickering

Nice work! Looking good.

Going on 5 months now and all wolves are together, alive, and mostly peaceful. Added a school of 6 red hooks and after the intermedius took a huge test bite out of one all has been peaceful. The red hooks really have helped with aggression and brought new life into the tank. Both males have drawn a line halfway in the tank and stick to their half. Dominant make took the heavily covered half while the other hangs out with the red hooks. It also seems that the dominate male is afraid of the red hooks. Since all fish are wild caught I can only assume he is confusing them with piranha and is avoiding a nasty bite. It seems the females prefer to sit right in the center of the tank and lounge in the floating plants. No problems with gold wolves and intermedius fighting but the intermedius does like to hog all the food.
