I got alot of info here regarding red wolves, but rarely I see people keeping gold wolves. Some says that Gold Wolves are by far the most active in a tank? I'm going to get some this week. Hoping I can get more info about the two. Which is much better..? Max size? Tank compatibility? The guy I'm gonna get the fish from said I can't mixed them since they have con specific aggression! Thanks!

I have a red and I love him. He's around 4 years old and 10 inches and knows when he is about to eat and will beg when he is hungry and wants attention. I love the big guy. He's probably as big around as a golf ball and grown really fast. They will swim around all the time and like to move. If you give them their hideing places they are a great fish to keep

that is indeed a gold wolf. The gold and red wolf are very much simalar. Same body shape and proportions. The only difference I can say is that the golds are maybe a bit more active. Reds are still very active though. No big differece, except golds are sold less often.

I've read some info here that gold grows up to 16"? or its the same with red that normally top out at 8"-9"?

Is he the only one in his tank? Have you tried keeping more in one tank? Any luck?

A friend of mine put around 15 golds into a Comm Tank, they killed about 5-6 fishes, now are only 6 goldens (they fight to much with each other), very active...They only stop the agression with the other fishes when my friend added a Dorado. The goldens now a days are around 22 - 24 cm.

How old are they?

I have had both at different times and the gold was one of the most aggressive fish I have ever kept.
