Gold Wolf vs Red Wolf

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
mixing wolves are a risk. obviously, tons of MFKers have successfully done it. mild injuries such as missing scales and ripped fins are incommon. But if they are together long enough, the wolves will bond. i have a baby red wolf kept with bichirs and my red wolf always beats out one specific bichir.

No he is on his own. If its to big for him to eat he bully's it and kills it or if its to aggro they bully him and he hides all day. Verry personable fish that will beg like a Oscar

All my bichirs are getting ripped fins from my red wolf fish.

How long til you get him to 9"-10"? So is it safe to say that you can mix a gold with red? but not with another gold? Or should it really be a totally different specie?

I can't honestly remember how long probably 6 months, growth has slowed now. With mixing with reds, I am assuming you mean erythrynus sp. depends on whether they can get out of each others way. i did have to put a gold onto a 3' with my sp. Peru and it didn't go well at all. The peru caused a lot of damage. same two in a 60"x24"x30" no problem. it wasn't the gold that was the issue, more the Erythrinus. Hers a pic of them when I first got them.
