by goldfish you mean the comets? so tuffies would be better for them? ok thats fine i can try to see if i can find fatheads i dont know were to start but ill look....
 
bait shop.. i know there are baitshops in CT since the fishing there is good.. tuffies, rossies, some time my lfs care the big ones that always a score. i keep my feeders in a seperate tank and feed them some quality crushed up pellets before i feed them to my cichla... your best bet is to starve them for a little and get them on some quality pellets.. then you can feed the other foods once and a while or a pellet, shrimp, feeder snack mix making pellets the main course daily
 
oh yeah there are def. bait shops in ct i just dont know if the guys are bright enough to know the difference between a fathead minnow or not haha
 
lol honestly if it swims they should hit it .. they are eatting machines.. and if you think they arent going to eat them.. dont feed them for one day prior
 
no i meant the guys at the baitshop lol the fish dont care... the people in the area i live in have family telephone poles NOT family trees:ROFL:
