I have a 10 gallon tank. Dimensions-20 inches long, 10 inches wide, and 1 foot tall. Can a golden wonder killiefish be in here. I just got the tank and I want a predator

Probably better suited for 20, they get a little big for a 10 considering their activity level.
A better predator for a 10 is a dwarf puffer.

I knew a golden wonder killie would get to big for sum 10 gallon tanks but I thought mine would of been fine because of the dimensions

Sound like similar dimensions to a standard 10. Biggest difference to a 20 is height. Definitely possible for the killifish but not ideal.

I hate to tell you, but that is a standard 10 gallon tank. Many people keep gold wonders in similar tanks, but you will see more natural behavior if you get something smaller. While not a lot of people see them max out they are pretty large when they do. You have some other great options if you like killis. Pseudepiplatys annulatus is beautiful and will do great in there. I really cant think of a nicer killi. You could do Epiplatys dageti. They are pretty tough for their size. Another nice one is Aphyosemion australe the gold version is very nice and fairly available. If you just want something vicious it is hard to beat Gambusia holbrooki, but I would stick with the killis

I am a new fish keeper when it comes to small aquariums so i didn’t know if it was a standard or not

I have a breeding group of golden wonder killifish in my 112g tank. (I took them in last year the previous owner had to move out of state quickly) They like the space and exploring all over the surface area. The females are big like my finger at maybe 3.5" at least 3" for males. The females bigger than the males. I'm actually thinking of transferring them into a 110g stock tub in the spring. Cannot imagine them being happy long term in a mere standard 10g tank.

Would say if you wanted a group of at least 4 its minimum 40g breeder for the surface area.
