i love them but i would never keep them again just because i would want to give them a good life and i dont have any spare huge tanks.....i think thats why one of my first tropical fish was a blood parrot....they have the same cuteness

I have a 75 with 5 fancies and a bunch of other fish - my favorite goldfish just died (see avatar) and I had a thread going trying to figure out why. Most of my goldfish aren't too pretty though - they're rescues, with either one eye or no eyes! My largest one currently is a one eyed orange oranda at 8 inches

I had a thread in the coldwater section called "show me your goldfish" that was a sticky for a while, but got removed from the sticky section. Maybe not enough interest? If you do a search there though you should be able to find it.

I spend $150 on one goldfish this year

I couldn't believe it either, but the breeder/importer had amazing stuff and I fell in love with the fish. I thought about it for a week and came back to buy it... beautiful ~7" calico ranchu.

Even though I'm paranoid about swim bladder disease (especially with the round-bodied goldfish), I thought that even if I had this guy for only 1 month, he was totally worth the money.

Goldfish are my favourite fish, hands down. I just haven't been able to get the same attachment to tropical fish. When I get my venustus I'm sure that'll change though...
