i rarely see common goldfish for sale and when i do, they are usually big. most small goldfish i see are comets or fancies. why are they called common goldfish then?

thingthing, your "uncolored" goldfish is called a funa, and they are actually quite rare. that copper color has been considered undesirable for so long that it's very unusual to find an adult with that color now. especially a comet! these days, an adult funa is a real prize. yours is gorgeous!
