Wow. I love it.Basically I have two 50 gal+ tubs that I use a overhead wet dry sumps. The water goes in from intakes up to the top and then comes down over a drip plate with filter floss above it trickle down thru layers of bio balls and in the middle lava rock. The **** is very heavy so I use a limited amount. A sheet of egg create holds up the top portion where the drip plate sits, and another one holds up the bio media. I use 1.5" pvc legs for both to stay above the water line where those 3 bulkheads are the splash the water back down. I have a big air pump but not really necessary unless the filters go offline. That other pic is of a 2 ton Rheem ac condenser turned into a heat pump. I also have a 5 gal per hr drip system on a 3 stage unit, 2 carbon blocks 1 sediment. That is an emperor aquatics uv 60 watt that's over 6ft tall...

Ty...u got it. Those are jebao pumps so I push the feed button, lasts for 10 mins. The extra water that comes from the sumps overflows into the drain for the drip system. I have a big ass roll the size of a love seat of filter floss I get locally for cheap so its not expensive for me. It took me some thinking to come up with this system. I used a similar style filter on a koi pond some years back it worked great so all I did was super size them.Wow. I love it.
how do you change your floss if it is hard plumbed into those boxes? Do you have to shut it all down and unscrew the unions, to open the boxes?
