I hate to admit it, but this guy I caught this evening on the Ohio River is my personal best sauger. The fish was 23" Ive only been fishing for sauger maybe a dozen times and each time Im bringing out better and better fish. As soon as I get my boat ready Ill be gettin the monsters! :headbang2

Anyhow he should go nice fried up and between two slices of white bread!

Very nice Sauger! Walleye and Sauger are the best tasting fish in the world in my opinion. BTW, that looks like more than one sammich! LOL

They look like they have really cool patterns. The way you posted makes it sounds like this one isn't that big... how big do they get?

Nice sammich meat!

Wurm, sauger are YUMMY! Ive never had walleye. They are caught where I was fishing today, but I have never caught one. Again Im pumped to get the boat out cause fishing then is 100x better!

Davo, the average sauger is around one pound. This girl (she was FULL of eggs) was 2.5-3. The world records is over 17lbs! The fish are very beautiful and quite hardy and would make nice fish for the aquarium.

Here is a feeding video of mine...

I love fish. Friday night I pan seared some salmon, Saturday I went to a fine seafood restaurant before I took the woman to the Phantom of the Opera and had a blackened sushi grade tuna steak cooked rare, and today I had some good ole fried catfish and fried okra!

Fried Catfish is excellent. I love Famous Daves catfish strips with Remoulade.
