aight... all good so far. ended up convincing myself to add a few more cross braces and add the top boards.

just bought a new filter and put in some Pea gravel i picked up from lowes after doing some research on the internet holding water just fine for 2 days now. If anyone cares just curious how long should i wait before aquascaping the tank and adding my firemouth? i setup the tank with half the water from my other 75 thats been running for sometime. added the pea gravel today after rinsing the best i could until the water wasnt cloudy.

The pea gravel is of various sizes and shapes as well as a variety of textures some small peices being a little coarse and the largest 1/4 inch being not so course. i wouldnt say my firemouth is a digger seeing as he spends most of his time in his cave except for when im out of sight or gone from the room. i thought of adding the smaller of my acaras a day or two later after the layout of rocks and wood is done and the firemouths settled in. would it be ok to add him now and then check on the ph in a few days?

that stand is awesome. You should build em and sell em. This should look awesome when the tanks are on it and you get everything going. can't wait to see this set up


I'd add the FM now. need some waste etc to get the bio going and feed your BB from the filter you added IMO

GReat ... thinking i am going to put him in. hoping to get the other tank moved in a few days and finish up some more of the stand. thank you for your comment on it. ill post some more photos later on.

well ive got both 75's setup on the stand also fit my 10 gallon in between them. cant really get any straight on photos cause of the position. i like to keep the aquascaping simple but id like to add a few more caves to the dempsey tank when i find more rocks.

in the first 75 are my two dempseys and 5 tiger barbs ... i am debating on wether it would be best to add a pleco or put my 5 cories back in?

I had a huge upset this morning as i was so stupid and forgot to put a cover on this tank last night and my largest blue acara jumped out and i awoke to him dead this morning. so now it is the full grown firemouth and the smaller acara in the tank alone. wondering if i could add another fish or two? maybe another acara or firemouth and a bottom feeder?
