Good choice for first reptile?

I had a good breeding colony of dragons for several years...many of the adults would cruise around on our shoulders and upper backs!

A great web site with reptile info is Anapsid.org. Ten times better than kingsnake.com.

I misted the leopard gecko environment today at work and they hissed at me!

blue tongued skinks make great pets. they don't get that large. the one i had ate out of my hands.

I have a tendency to handle my pets so I probably wouldn't want one just to look at or one that bites, barks, or hisses. I've heard that the mali's can get aggressive as they get older so I think a bearded dragon is for me!

screw them both, get a suriname red tailed boa very pretty and tame ..... theres also many types of dwarf redtails out there too, all are pretty!

If snakes are something you'd be interested in, check out corn snakes, Kenyan sand boas, and possibly the ball python too. I say possibly as sometimes these snakes can give you a headache come feeding time!

We mist their hiding place and one was hiding in it and I didn't see him and he was ticked off at me.

A local pet store has a very tame Uromastyx for $99. Very tempted.....
