bearded dragons and uro's are all well and good, but i highly recommend a crested gecko instead. They do not need lots of crickets, only once or twice a week, (they eat baby food and supplement). And they do not need a big heat light, a standard UVB light will wonderfully suffice, and their tank can get as low as 65-70degrees F before they get uncomfortable. (Not like beardeds and uro's.) SO, if you're getting a "first" reptile, I started out with crested geckos and they are definately worth your while to check out.
