Zebra Danio's no way. My fish, I'm thinking mainly the yellow sev, devoured around 10 in 2 weeks lol.
Giant Danio's maybe but depends how fast the Oscar is.
Tinfoil barbs and more varied SD's is what i would do with your set up.

I've used Zebra Danios many times as dithers with large cichlids. As long as you have a school of them, they will be fine, especially with big dumb fish like Oscars. The Oscar may catch one from time to time but they cost like 20 cents. They're very fast, they school well, and they look nice in a large tank when they school.

Zebra Danios are classic dither fish and have been used by many people for a long time for this very purpose.

My Zebra Danios cost $0.79!!!!!! But alas my 1" pink cons have failed to take any down for about a week. Oscars are a different story, a large enough oscar can just suck them in - they don't have to bite down to catch them at all, the zebras won't be able to swim away from the suction.

I have a red tailed black shark who is great with an oscar and red devil, she cleans up there messes and she has grown to an amazing size, i have never seen one bigger. I was skeptical at first putting her in the tank with such big fish but she easily swims away from any of their aggression, sometimes she chases the red devil around when he's bugging her.

hehe Different fish, different tastes. Haven't ever kept Zebra Danio's with Oscar's but I wouldn't try it. Good luck with it.
