Here's my opinion...
I think if we as members provide our views and information regarding the original thread we all would be much better off. Why do so many of us need to give unwarranted views and info, that are pertaining to a members signature or even a previous post.:screwy:

Do you really think that he is completely unaware that he needs to upgrade(like about 90% of the rest of us). Give me a break:WHOA: And to state the same thing already stated in previous posts, maybe it is to show our superior fish keeping abilities.:nilly:

I've said it before and I'll say it again;

"To many of us let our EGOS get in the way of our intelligence"

agreed, and also you may not like my ideas but i am just helping the guy out..with the question he asked..

YO good lookin out ZOO and DOVii ...
i appreciate the back up.

i like how ethnics put it though~

when did i flame for overstocking? i jus thought he had all those fish in a 100gal tank so i commented "damn, thats a lot of fish in a 100gal tank". since its not even a 100gal tank my comment meant nothing, so dont jump on me about me overstocking my tanks now when i didnt even say much of him overstocking in the first place. my tank is fine and my fish are fine. regardless to what u say.
word. my tank is perfect. hahahhahahaha. no matter what ANYONE says.

seriously.
just wanted to post something to find out whats a compatible dither fish for a flower horn. not saying i was going to add, nor add in the future.
JUST WANTED TO HEAR WHAT "WOULD BE" a GOOD DITHER FISH WITH A FH.

 just a nice curious healthy kind question.
that DESERVED a nice, and POSiTiVE insightful answer... ABOUT THE TOPIC.

ppl just come out the wrong way.
:nilly:
bustin ppl's chops.
:nilly:
but w/e man. it is christmas. :D

but like they said...
about 90% of us need upgrades in tank size.
fact.

i honestly plan to get a 250-300 gallon custom acrylic tank.
probably get a nice wet/dry system made under the tank.
spend a nice 2G's on the thing, with my FX5 overfiltrating 400gallons.

housing iNDO/WiDE/NGT Datnoids.
2 FW Rays. ATF.
And if the rays allow Clown Loaches and Delhezi.

as you can see im ready.
but its going to take some time to generate 2 G's

also have to move out.

so technically...
before my fish get to a size where they are TOO BIG for the tank.
im going to upgrade. SO chillax.
my fish will not have to 'suffer' long in this 'tiny' 40 gallon tank.

and these fishes.
i honestly HAD TO BUY...
bcuz they were GREAT ONCE INA LIFETIME DEALS.

i bought 1 Pulcher for $10.

another Pulcher for $50.

the ATF for $25.

Delhezi $25.

NGT $40.

SADDLEBACKS~ loaches. [oddbars]

this thread does not require anymore responses unless you have something positive to add about a good species of Dither Fish To Be Kept With a FH.

Well, large shoaling fish would be your best bet for a dither fish.:)
Edit: Although I doubt any dither fish would survive the wrath of flowerhorns even in a very large tank. Regardless of whether the tank is very large or not, FHs are still cichlids and will behave differently.:)

From my experience...nothing.

Anything I put with my FH got killed moments later.

exactly. i've managed to get some pleco's to last a while but damn does she hate them. nothing can really survive with a grown fh, maybe if u started some dithers when ur fh was young it MIGHT have worked out.

150gal
24" Silver
18" Silver
(2) 15" Spot'd gar
17" Shrtnse gar
7" RTGG
9" Gold nug

60gal
1.5" silver
1.5" RTC 12/8
7" Lima
8" Motoro

You say that his tank is already overstocked, and that it is too small for his fh...but this is only a growout tank.....You have no room to talk with your ridiculously overstocked 150, and your even more overstocked 60 galllon, look at it another silver arrow, an rtc and a motoro all the fish are goin to get big so why dont you go buy a bigger tank, or just turn them into ur lfs were they will probly have a better life....and i think you should do an even better thing forget the lfs and give it to ur local aquarium.....they will probably ask you wat you were thinkin when you bought these fish.....maybe they can educate a little...
