Nat geo just put out what seems to be a nice, quality food. First ingredient was salmon (always a plus in my book for nice red fish). NLS, Omega One and Cobalt brand are good too.

Have you tried looking at North Fin they are out of Canada and may be able to help you. We have been feeding their 4mm jumbo formula and our Oscars and Bichirs love it. Just google north fin fish you should be able to find it.

Death not trying to hijack the thread but I was thinking this same thing so..... what size sinking pellet can I use for a small yellow acara about 2.5 inches ? He stays on the lower half of the tank and likes to sift. Also what brand ?

a 1mm pellet works best for fishes 1"-" IMO just like what daniel said. for myself i can only support hikari since i am using hikari since the beginning of my fishkeeping. you can try their cichilid gold sinking.
