good newbie fish

I like zebra danio's, they kinda of a fun fish, but I would reccomend livebearers, IE guppies, platties, things of the sort. Real Easy going. Easy to breed, too. From what I can tell, people always get all happy when they breed a fish for the first time.

^^Would need 30 gallons, dude
White Clouds, but theyre jumpers and messy eaters. DO NOT overfeed.
Mosquitofish are nice, you could probably catch em, but all females OR all males or you wont know what to do with them.
Guppies (wild varieties from feeder tanks are real lookers, but find out which day the LFS stocks them and buy the following day so you dont get any fish that have been exposed to feeder diseases.
Ghost Shrimp, I wouldnt suggest Snails because newbie aquarists will not be satisfied with Snails.
Small natives, such as Fathead Minnows.

i personally like plaites for beginners becuase theres just so many to choose from, i have a 10g planted with platies and guppies and otos and aspidoras and it seems like just a simple tank but its really nice.

giant danio's

id go with white clouds, guppies, cory cats, and possibly a beta. throw some sand, fake plants, heater and filter and he's good to go..
