I don't have a ton of experience, but I have ordered from Wetspot twice and the fish did show up healthy. I live in Westcoast though so YMMV.

If possible, after you find a good online vendor order from ebay instead of directly. I like having ebay in the middle because threat of bad reviews usually keep them honest.

Live aquaria is run by dr foster and smith, dr foster and smith were created/owned by petco, so I think they do, but they're pretty damn good for being owned/created by petco
Interesting, never knew that and though I have bought plenty of supplies from Foster and Smith over the years I have never bought any of their livestock.

Yeah I only found out because the guy who runs the fish section at PetsPlus worked as an importer so he knows everybody who owns/owned a fish store and my dad mentioned buying something (saltwater) from liveaquaria and the guy said it's run by petco and that buying from them is supporting petco in the long run, I haven't had any problems with any livestock I've ordered from them

Pets Plus huhnh? I worked part time there years ago.

I read on some saltwater forum (you could probably find it if you did enough research) that said that the quality of live aquaria really went down after they were bought out by petco. They only used it for saltwater items so I’m not sure how it was for freshwater and I’m not sure if they were just having very very high standards as I can’t remember the details so I can not speak on their behalf.

A few folks on this forum has purchased from Liveaquaria in the past year or so, particularly freshwater fish from the Diver's Den where the picture is of the actual fish being sold. I haven't seen anything negative from them about their experience.
