I really want to plumb in a small ricordea tank into my system and am wondering if any of you have found good places for buying ricordeas??

I am not looking for really expensive ones really, just a good assortment of colors for reasonable prices. I have a lot of orange ones with green mouths in my reef and plan to cut some off to put in the ricordea tank. I also am getting some bluish green ones with lime green mouths from work. I pretty much want to get every color I can and an assortment of different patterns to let em grow.

Also, anyone else done ricordea tanks? What did you use for lighting and what worked best? Results?

I've bought stuff from coralmorphologic. Great prices and healthy animals. They ship everything very well and usually throw in a freebee. They usually have lots of rics and get new stuff in every few weeks.

Well, saltwaterfish.com has a really nice package on their ricordia floridas. I think its like 10 for 100 bucks?

I have never found what I though was a good deal on yumas, people want too much for them.

Already looked at coralmorphilogic and wasn't really too impressed. Prices are high and they don't have any packages. They do have some sweet looking wysiwyg stuff though.

Saltwaterfish.com isn't a bad deal, seeing that now.

I think I might do this

Or this

Otherwise I might see if I can find someone or a bunch of people local that have different variations. I put a wanted ad on Craigslist and got a few hits so far. I have a little bit of time to get the tank plumbed into my system.

Keep the possibilities coming if you have any though...

My friend bought from saltwaterfish.com before also and they were not as nice. It's only 100 bucks but 8 of the 10 are single color, they are normal colors, and they're smaller. Almost every single one at coralmorphologic are multicolored and have multiple mouths. I guess it's preference though, I like seeing the exact coral i'm going to get.

I do agree with you. Being able to see what you get is nice. To get the 50 or so that I want though you are talking 1,000 to 1,250 bucks. Don't want to spend that much.

I guess maybe I will start with less. I dunno.

You are going to set up another tank?!? Just for ricordea?!? Crazy son.

Yes, a small one. I have everything to do it. A light, 2 powerheads(one for pumping and one for water movement in tank), and the tank. It is actually going to be one of the tanks I currently have as a quarantine after I am done with it.

Wow. If you get that premium ricordea package...I dont even know. Ill be expecting a tip or something the next time we hang out.

That is ridiculously expensive. At the very least I will be expecting a couple free ricci's ha.
