ok so nothing has changed with paypal then... they will still refund up to a grand?

still always use the credit card. much quicker and easier. all you do is make a phone call to dispute and bam it is done. just get it in writing about the no leak guarantee and that he refunds shipping as well, both ways if it leaks!

but it won't leak, unless it is packed like crap and/or the moving company cracks the tank or something.

See hears the deal.

It doesn't matter what something costs.

The question you should be asking is are you willing to spend that much? And if so, are you going to be happy with the purchase?

Thats a great price go for it

yes i am willing to pay this much... not the dimensions i was looking for. but i figure if worst comes to worst maybe i can sell this (or trade straight across) and get something more along the lines of what i was looking for in the first place.... however thats a ways down the road. and thank u about the credit card advice... as i type im on the phone with paypal

For that price its definitely a good deal. But i would rather be able to inspect it first before buying it. Also paypal will not refund you any money if its not an Ebay purchase. If you have any dispute with the seller you're on your own.

That is complete bunk and a myth. I'm not sure how this myth/rumor was started, maybe when ebay acquired paypal? Regardless, paypal will always look in to any claim made to determine it's validity, ebay purchase or not. I went through a claims dispute non-ebay related back in December.

To clarify on all this paypal crap, as i had to go through it when I got scammed...they will look into it, but it doesn't have the same protection as if you went through ebay, since it's a third party site. As far as them refunding the money, even if you win your claim, they will only reward you with what they can get from the sellers account. The seller pulled my money, so i got 0 dollars. Paypal told me they were sorry they couldn't recover, but their attitude changed shortly after when they found out I paid with debit and by talking to my bank I was able to get a reversal of funds and recovered my money. As a result paypal put my balance with them at a negative, and then came after me, then when I refused to pay, sold my information to the creditors, who I sent letters to and hopefully they leave me alone. The best advice so far is use the credit card, as credit card companies are much better with the desputes.
