good starter car?

if all you care about is lasting long, i'd go with a toyota: corolla or camry. And also can go with honda: civic or accord. 4cylinders. just my opinion

yah if not anything i'll probably get a used or new nissan altima or maxima. those are hardy cars to have.

get a pickup. i got a ford ranger. mine is bulletproof. 4x4 with some mud tires and it goes through everything. I can throw some friends in the back and have a good time. its very reliable

btw, u said you are tall. i am 6 foot 1 and dont have any problems with it. :)

yeah im 6 foot too. driving my parents yukon is way easier than my parents little coupes. lol
 
I have had a few Ford Explorer Sports that I've loved. Solid trucks, good price for a used vehicle, lots of room and fairly good mpg for an SUV.

I've a Toyota Rav4, its okay, pretty reliable (as most imports are), definitely a "girl car" tho. Wouldn't recommend if you have any height to ya, might have a bit of a clown car feel.
 
I had a 02' Trailblazer for my first car, it was a hand me down, but damn did I love that truck. We beat the piss out of that truck too, I wish I never sold her..
