New VW's are fine, it's the mkIV chassis you should avoid.

lol i was saying ( yes i am a she) that im not a volvo fan i just dont like the over all look or the price, just not my cup of tea... and that i currently drive a 03 VW jetta and it has its problems...i still love my car it hasnt broken down or anything its a good solid car. VW wire there cars different so one electrical issue can be a pain in the Ass so thats what im dealing with. Any car of any type will one day need to be fixed and as i have learned... as im sure its true with volvo to...cars with those pricetags...also have those price tags for parts and to be fixed..everything costs me more b.c i drive a VW, someone stole my mirror casing off of my drivers side mirror (the pc that is painted to match your car) 150 dollars. jst saying take your time and get something that is good for you and what you need it for!

Personally, I would go American, either Ford or Chevy, for a truck.
