mines in a 75G right now

He seems happy in there and i will move him into something abit larger later in the year.

Im thinking of getting a custom tank for him long and low kinda job.

Sounds good.
I think I'm gonna go for a WAL, They may be more agressive and not tolerate tankmates but thats fine. Predators rule.
:headbang2

I may be getting a tank larger than 75 gallons, I'm just not 100% right now.
Switching jobs around and stuff, so I'll just have to see.

Oh, forgot;
I know a few of you keep SAL's, how are they with tankmates?
I'm fine with doing no tankmates, but if I did get the 180, I was thinking of getting 2xflorida/spotted gar....

WAL's are sweet fish! mine was 16" when i sold him and was in a 75. 75 should work for quite a while, but really does deserve atleast a 180 for life, might not need a 180 to stay alive, but we all like to provide the best accomodations we can.

Awesome.
I think I'm gonna try it.
I might actually be getting a 180, I know I say alot of stuff regarding what size tank I'm getting but this time I'm serious.
I'm going to have the funds to purchase a 180, so I most likely will.

midway fish in fed. way had some wal's for $30 for about 10"ers.

I'll keep that in mind...
Did you ever try tankmates with yours?

no, i didnt want to lose any of my fish, and im sure he would of killed, i just had that feeling.
Yeah.
I've heard SAL's can sometimes work with tankmates, but I'm just afraid to try it.

if you find any SAL's let me know, i'll try it in my 180.
Yeah, I dont know were to find them either.
I Heard Shark Aquarium can get them, but I've never looked into it.

For my 180 I'm thinking
1xsilver aro
2xFlorida/spotted gar
3xTinfoil barbs
I want to try a lung for the bottom, but the gars will swim all depths of the tank.

I might just grow out a little lung in my 35 and try and introduce it to the 180.
But that'll be a while.
