TBH, I'm am one of the biggest metalheads you will meet. However, Eminem (OLD Eminem) gets me pumped like none other. Old school underground rap battles, freestyle, etc. by him. I have over 300 of his songs, majority of which were never on any cds. That is what I use when I'm running.

For lifting, I normally just use metal.

yup, rap has something about it.

for lifting-Pitch shifter first album "industrial"
For running (why-pussy exercise- who are you running from) maybeee something faster -brutal truth, napalm death, doom or extreme noise terror.
seriosly drop the running and do som bag work if you want cardio.

less carb , more protein Graaaaaaaagggghhhhh!

"Mr. Torture" by Helloween is a very high-energy song.

I prefer an audiobook. I powerlift and it helps me stay focused. Concentrate on the story, pause and concentrate on my lifting technique, resume the book and focus on that. Maintaining focus on something works best for me. I usually watch TV during general cardio so I can just get lost in it. I only listen to music when I am hitting the bags to help me keep a rhythm.
