I was at Cabela's and there was a stray chunk of deer salt in the crate where they normally sell the huge blocks. They said I could just have it, no charge. So I took a few licks and couldn't stop after that. Didn't finish the chunk, but it was so good I want to go back for more. A nutritional profile was listed on the packages there, including traces of copper, magnesium and more. What I wonder is how controlled this product is. Did they synthesize it from those compounds or is it wild salt rock and those are the average percentages found therein? Anybody know? Mmm, salt.

You might be a redneck if "salt lick" sounds like an afternoon snack.

So.....do you now run faster and jump higher? :D

Lol, thats funny... I'm a big salt fan myself, but I like the Mexican candy, its just sour lemon salt. My mouths watering just thinking about it...

It tasted like amazing salt. I remember getting a salt rock in a rock collection as a kid. I ate that one, too. It's really good when you nibble off a chunk and hold it in your upper gums right by the salivary pore.
The rock itself looks orange and clear.
