It tasted like amazing salt.

You worry me.

Who manufactured it? Got a brand name? There will be an MSDS sheet for it. That should answer your question.

It will be an awesome MSDS my guess. Something stating to wear gloves around it probably.

You could probably state the melting point already...i know, bad joke, but it had to be told.

Lol... Pica is so weird. I used to eat ice so much my teeth would hurt. I doubt a little will hurt you. Sounds like the stuff they sell for horses at the feed store, just meant to be licked on. I wouldn't eat a whole bunch tho all that Cu can't be great for you.

Wow...I think you may have some sort of deficiency if you crave salt like that. It may be time to consult "house" for a diagnoses

But really...get that checked out! ;)

when i was little a friend and i would lick the salt licks that her parents left out for deer, i agree that they are pretty good

Im with you. My guess is your body is lacking some vital vitamins which are available in the salt lick which your mind proceives as tastey. Its the same reason they attract deer and squirrels, to fill up on vitamins/minerals, Not because it taste good. Gotta be bad for the blood pressure as well. You may want to start on some multi vitamins because thats not normal. Or next time your in Cabellas and lacking protein, try the bird seed. It really hits the spot :grinno:

:headbang2

As for lacking vitamins or minerals, I do drink a lot of coffee but also take a daily multivitamin. That, combined with what I usually eat (lots of zucchini, red peppers, apples, avocados, clean meats, nuts and occasionally bread products) should have me covered, right? I don't know what minerals listed on the block would be missing from my diet.

But even when I'm not deficient in something I can usually indulge freely in it. I suspect that I just really enjoy salt.

Also, I got an email back from the company. The important excerpt:

These are specifically made with the minerals added to the proper amount.

So now, without going into what they use in the manufacturing process, I can know that those minerals listed are the same I ingest.

I agree, but it also sounds dangerous.
