Google fail. Can I eat salt made for hunting deer?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Keep it in my car hanging in the open top of a coffee mug. The wife partakes as well. Good stuff. Should last a very long time as long as we can resist biting off chunks to crunch up.

Why not break it into small chunks and put it in a pepper mill and try it on your food in place of regular salt? This is not that outrageous really. There are marketed many different "gourmet" salts from varying sources that differ in color and taste depending on what other minerals they contain. I doubt eating the deer lick will harm you, but it probably hasn't been handled with the same sanitary standards as something intended for human consumption.
