Subscribing to this thread. That goonch looks so nice, I'd love one but the specific requirements, temperature etc means I can't provide what's needed.

i wont lie this week has been a bit stressful, never tested water so much and vac a tank out lol but im happy now its back on pellets i can relax a bit. i'll keep the water schedual up but should it just makes regular feeds easier, and they better for him.

next job is to start looking at options for the tank upgrade, been weighing up koi holding tanks, glass tank or even building an acrylic tank, this will be the next step until i build the pond which i'm already collecting bits for hahaha.

its all a question of depth at the moment, how deep would the tank need to be.........

so happy to start upping feeds now. water schedule still vac every 2 days with 6mm air line around the rocks and 2x 30% WC a week. and a filter pad clean once a week to keep the flow as high as possible.

woop just secured a 220G 72" long 36" wide and 20" tall tank for an easy £50 about $70, an absolute steal not in the best nick and spent a bit of time outside but i'll get it in the garage and give it a good checking over before using it but at least the first upgrade is sorted. just need to fit it in the house some where and sort out filtration but thing for flow i will probably go with 4x 1200LPH internals on one end should push enough water around i hope. tank should be here in a week or so once i sorted out a pick up.

I hadn't even realised you were in the UK until you listed the new tank cost in £££! Don't be a stranger neighbour lol!

Great pick up on the tank mate, to call it a bargain at that price is an understatement.
