Got a new marbled female. Not so great

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I could be wrong but her back looks a little streched, as if she had given birth prior to the shipment. She is quite a large one as well so i feel it may be possible... the stress of giving birth just to be shipped out after may also be a reason. either way i hope for the best!

Not sure if it's very clear but there is some fungus here growing on her tail. Looks a little better than yesterday. But as I was changing water Ray decided to randomly come up and got stuck onto the auction hose. Caused her to flip out and burry into the sand. So all the work I did just yesterday just went to 0. Added salt pimafix and melafix and did a 20% water change. Going to petsmart to buy some sort of fungus and bacteria medicine. Going to order from kens fish to get the bulk amount of medicine as I split off the medicine with melafix and pimafix

I feel that the wholesaler probably cut off its stinger... It was covered in fungus yesterday. It cleared up quite a bit compared to yesterday. End of tail still has fungus though

Pure Nitrofuazone can be bought from Jehmco in bulk fairly cheap.

First time ordering from jehmco, i called them up and they need me to email out a form and ship out tomorow. I am going to order the nitrofurazone 100 mg, to be safe im going to go find the API furan tomorow if i dont see improvements tomorow when i do a water change tomorow morning. currently from the box Last packet of API fungus cure (can only treat 100 gallons), my water is green from the medication. I am going to do a 20$ water change and add more pimafix and melafix.
does this look like a fungus or bacterial infection? Im scared that it may be columnaris, as then i have to nuke the entire tank with the nitrofurazone for a while.

New update - Stingray Moving a bit more now, probably used to the tank but fungus still growing, other parts of disc where it was hurt is growing more fungus. stingray moved about and noticed red sore under its mouth. Im assuming its columnaris. Heading out to Tropiquarium around 10 and other petsmart to see if i can find some API Furan2 and tetracyline. The order of Nitrofuazone isnt going to arrive till monday. Water is still green from the fungus cure and the dosed another amount of Pimafix and Melafix and salt. Since Columnaris is a Gram negative bacteria im hoping the doses of Furan2 and tetrcycline will wipe out the columnaris. Also noticed stingray skinnier than 2 days ago since hasnt eaten.

Be careful adding this medicine and that medicine, you may be doing more harm than good.

this is true. I just added furan2 which actually is just nitrofuran, no longer both chemicals of its old formula... I saw movement today, more movement than i would normally see. She was swimming in the current mid water.. not sure if this is a good sign or bad sign. But after i put the furan 2 in she settle back down. i will try to feed again in a few hours.

Oh my, good luck with her. Can you separate her from the other ray and aro?
