Agreed...you have A Florida/Spotted Gar!
 
He's a nice looking little gar, but he does have a little fin damage from being housed with some silver shortnose gars at the LFS. I forgot to buy food for him so last night I went and got a scoop of crappie minnows. The goldfish in the tank is actually to big for him to eat, but it was funny to see him stalking it.
