GOT GAR?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
trust me even if you can get your hands on cuban...it's the least of your worries...

Hmm... Is that so? Can you please elaborate on that for me?

I do really want one though after looking at your pics everyday for the past 2 weeks. When I was 9 years old, I went to the pet store and bought a gator gar (not knowing anything) and I was only able to keep it for 4 months. He went from 3" to 23" and sadly I had to take him back to the store.

they are extremely sensitive to pH fluctuations and are, compared to other gar(water quality wise), much more delicate. any amount of ammonia or nitrite sets them off and stresses them to no end. acc to sol even large cubans have been known to succumb quickly to pH issues.

Wow... Thanks for the enlightenment Xander.

LOL... I was watching my gar stalk a minnow and it was pretty funny. He was slowly crawling on the gravel, creeping up on a minnow until his mouth right next to his meal, and the BAM chompped down on the fool :D

It's way different from the gator I had.

Just wait till he gets bigger
mine doesnt even stalk his food he just bull charges it and grabs it
